Default RE: Stock motor+ turbo=?

Ok, well this isn't for my friend. My Gf has a 97' neon(mint condition, tranny just keeps going) I think I am selling my 97' MX6 for a down payment on here a 07' Scion XA. Well I was talking to her and she said she thinks it would be a good idea for me to keep her neon and mod it instead of my mx6(reason being, cost. Example: $250 for a starter, $130 for STOCK autozone plug wires, ect). So I was reading up on the SRT-4 swap. Which I want a turboed car(but want a stock turboed motor) but don't want to have payments on a $16-18k srt4 neon.

So the question is, how do you do the wiring, I read you have to do splicing and such but how much, how hard is it? what has to be changed?

If I do this I am going to swap her stock aut 4 door neon to a standard with the srt4 but leaving the body stoc(atleast for awhile). That will be a sleeper for sure, hubcaps, stock white paint, ect.

Also, I am having a hard time finding an srt-4 motor, any chance of some help? I was thinking of the 2.4 stratus swap but it doesn't seem to have much more power, less aftermarket and I want something with a damn near NEW motor.

Woudl it be different in a 97?

DAMN that looks like a LOT of wiring, I dunno,I got confused quick. Would megasquirt be better to use and require less wiring? I am not that exsperenced with wiring but I learn quick. I would just seen to see more than a bunch of letters and numbers, lol. I'll keep reading

Yes it would be different for a 97 because the pins would be in different locations. Thats why you would need an FSM for the pinout locations.

MS would be BETTER, IMO.

Honestly, at first when I was reading before posting this it seemed like the woring would just be a LOT less in my mind. Hmm, I dunno, for the price of the swap, it might be worth me buying a wreck srt-4 and just fixing it(I can do all the work myself, frame strighting wouldn't cost me anything, paint booth to use for nothing, ect) would just cost me parts. I dunno, I am torn. I like the older neons but the srt-4's are sexy as hell.

Thats blasphemy on this forum....LOL.

I might venture into the SRT-4 swap, but if I do, MS would be the way to go for me.
