Hey spudsterier- how bad was the wring for the srt-4 motor in your car?

Also, is the 2.4 out of the stratus able to be boosted more than the dohc 2.0? And how hard is it to swap the 2.4? whats the advantages?

He doesn't have the SRT-4 engine, just the turbo and manifold from it on a stoch DOHC engine.

Yes it can be boosted more. Easier than the SRT-4. More HP and torque are the advantages. See for yourself....

damn that was sweet. Now, I know that is a built 2.4 but what a stock internat 2.4? Are they comparable to the srt-4 turboed? Will the srt-4 manifold and such bolt up to the 2.4 head like it does the 2.0? What kinda numbers should I exspect off a 2.4 turboed(stock internals). this is all considering its in good condition with reasonable miles(for myself I would probly be willing to rebuild a stratus motor(probly nothing crazy)

It's also a 3-speed ATX!!!!

The 2.0 head and 2.4 head are identical, so the SRT-4 turbo and manifold will bolt up. HP depends on how much boost you want to run. 8-10 psi on stock internals, maybe 225-245HP. The SRT-4 turbo is a small one, but spools quicker, so you can boost quicker.

Damn, I heard that being an atx, but I thought maybe I was hearing stuff lol. So you can run 8-10 psi on stock internals? How hard is it to swap, I mean I clicked a link you posted in a thread and it didn't work anymore. Also, what year stratus did they come out of?

Yep, 8-10 psi should be good. The swap, from what I have read, seems relatively easy. Just gotta take your time and get it in there. You can use a 2.4 motor from 1995 to 2000 Stratus/Breeze/Cirrus, 1996-2000 Caravan/Voyager, 2001-2003 PT Cruiser/Stratus/Sebring.

The one link I posted is now gone. You may have to extend a couple wires to some sensors, but the wiring is easy.

Sweet. Do you know if you use the 2.4 motor mounts or anything? I am VERY interested in this, I just need more info. Sucks that is gone [:@]
