I just bought a 99 neon with a skylight myself...lol, all mine needs is the driver side guide, the plastic piece that holds the cable in place to push the guide snapped, so if anyone got a spare one, I'd appreciate a heads up, I don't really wanna spend $135 on a whole new repair kit from thesunroofdoctor.

I also have a 98 highline with the same sunroof problem. My motor is basically shot i think, due to it grinding like crazy when i hit the button. As someone in this thread already said the gears inside are plastic and wear out quick if you use it alot. At the moment i have to Push up on the sunroof while holding the button to get it to pop up/vent. However, when i first bought the car it would also slide back with some help but now it doesnt go back at all. I've replaced both the cable's with brand new one's from Chrysler. The right side seems like it wants to slide back but the drivers side doesn't budge, not even with help. Is this because of a broken clip or something? I've had the sunroof out once before to change the cables and to get it to shut and it wasn't fun lol. Is something broke or just not attached? Maybe bent? Any help is greatly appreciated.
