anyone know where to get a good clutch??? and how to tell if you need a modular or non? i m doing a swap soon and need a new clutch

 

Get the PT clutch. Stronger than the stock neon one.

95's and Mexico built neons got the non-modular clutches.

ok so how do you know if its monular or non? or can you just put a modular one in??

 

Why do you need a Stage 1 clutch and what year neon do you have?

 

take your inspection sheild off behind the oil pan on the bottom , if it has an automatic flex plate and looks like a torque conveter boltd on, its a modular

the modular is all one piece the non modular is made of separate components...
if your gonna rip out your trans and look from there, the non modular had about 6-10mm bolts around the outside rim on the front pressure plate.....modular has no bolts

 

im going turbo, so stage 1 would be a good idea, and i dont have the trans on hand to look... still in other car.

 

how do you know if it was built in mexico?
