My car for some reason kept dying if I didn't keep it accelerated. So far I have replaced the fuel filter, spark plugs andPCV valve. Now it will only dieat the first start of the day, but after it dies if I start it back up it will be fine for the rest of the day. WTF?

 

What about the fuel pump? Could be going out on you.

No CEL?

 

Yes i have a CEL for high input on o2 sensors and sometimes a code for the intake air temp. sensor. Is there anyway to test the fuel pump?

 

You can check the fuel pressure at the rail...49 psi.

 

I've checked it, it's at 49 psi.

 

Needs to be at 49 psi.

Check for restricted fuel pump inlet strainer, if thats good, then your fuel pump may be going bad on you.

Also check the fuel rail for debris.

 

It is at 49 psi. Debris on the outside of the rail or where exactly? I was thinking of getting some fuel injector cleaner, fuel pressure is normal so I don't think it might be fuel related.

Have you checked your plugs, wires and/or coil pack? Grounds?

 

Just replaced the plugs, wires seem fine, grounds? and sorry I did put 40 psi at first instead of 49, i wasn't fast enough to correct it

 

I'm curious if its a loose connection/wire somewhere.
