Axles gears are actually 4.10s and the lift is a 4in but the front is more of a 5in since the axle swap

look into a new strrring stabilizer shock and they sell a plate that gos over the steering box takes all slop out of steering also they sell a rubber collar that gos on the steering shaft makes steering wheel tight no movement I have these on my 98 steering is tight now worth the money

Ive thought about another steering stabilizer but My steering is good enough without one so I probably wont ever get one for this truck.'

And i have no idea what the other stuff you are talking about it is

look it up on u tube u have NO idea how stiff the steering will be no slop or movement AT ALL

It looks like that's a column bushing johnnysaws is talking about.

In the 1st gens, the major problems are in the slip joint, and the rag joint. Those are the two most common issues that members find.

The biggest play with mine was the stock coupling to the steering box.

Take it this works on the 1st gens too?
