I have always thought they looked a little weak for the task. Did you have any issues with the fitment due to the curvature of the glass? Most of the kits I see say "flat glass only." I installed a set in my old '51 Chevy Pickup, but I was working with flat glass.

You might call AutoLoc to see if they make a kit for your truck. They do carry for both curved and flat glass but their catalog only goes back so far. They also carry OEM replacement regulators with motor and they may be able to match up a wiring kit for them.

Another way to go may be original equipment parts. A1 auto has power regulators without the motors and you can get the motors there also seperately. You could get a wiring kit with switches in the after market or at a pick&pull.

I was thinking about the OEM stuff. I think that basically, aside from a body line, my doors (72-80) are the same as 81-93 doors. Just a different skin it seems. Thought about junk yarding some goodies and ordering new motors and regulators from the 81-93 style. Then poke some holes in my door behind the panel to make it bolt up.
