Just stuck it back in. Not really a big problem right now. I want to get the paint done, interior sort of cleaned out, and the engine super-reliable before I do any stereo work.

I think my dad was kind of hinting at putting some driving lights on the front for some reason....can I run 2 55 watters without a big problem?

Specifically my old lights? lol

*bumpn*

Got a problem, gas gauge went out today.

It worked earlier, now it's dead. I think the gauge itself is dead as I can turn the headlights on, highbeams, and the oil and gas gauges used to freak out, the gas doesn't do anything now.

Help me.

does the oil pressure or water temp do anything? the gauge voltage regulator could just need a tap to get it a better connection.

Oil pressure works, temp is an aftermarket gauge. I hope it's not the sending unit.

The gauge lights do not work properly, however. Hardly any of them are lit and they turn off when you just barely touch the switch.

sounds like you might possibly have some bad connections somewhere. most gas gauge problems are usually bad wiring or bad connections. if the wires on top of the tank are easy to get to you could test and see if you are getting the 5v that you should be at the sending unit. otherwise you may have to take instrument cluster out to test things

Alright, I guess I'll tackle that next week when I get the multimeter after work. Any ideas on how to get the cluster out? It needs some work. lol
I can get to it, but can't get it out because of the speedo cable.
