My Perpetual 76 Project Thread
Yeah, they do, especially on the back. But let me tell you, they ride SOOO much better. Front and rear. Most of the annoying clunking is gone from the front end too, gonna be even better when I get the shocks installed. Which by the way, my rears have already come in. So I'm waiting on the fronts and provided they get here this week, they will be put on Monday.
I'm also starting to re-think that I want to do with the exhaust. My little patch failed and I'm noticing that it sounds a lot throatier than it did before even more I had the patch on it. I'm almost thinking about hacking both pipes off at the axle. Sure beats $100 to have duals put on it.

do you have a caliper for measuring? if so you should measure what size the pipe is on both sides of the break. you might be able to cut the old connection out and install a new pipe that is a tiny bit larger and some exhaust clamps and you should be able to fix the old exhaust.
I'm not really going to worry about it much. I'm either going to have the duals re-done to behind the bumper, or I'm just going to hack it off at the axle. I just don't know which. The exhaust is really crappy where it splits off as the pipes are very old, back from when there was no such thing as mandrel bent tubing. It was bent, spread and welded together in pieces.
We've got some on my dad's 02 and they aren't as big as these. Or at least they don't seem to be.
As far as install, you just cut the ties and start installing, right? Considering the ties go through the mounting holes....
