I can understand that.
I'm actually trying to fix this truck, I mean, there aren't too many of them around anymore.

that what i like about mine. you hardly see any of them running around anymore. i know i am like 1 of the only guys driving around town in a old dodge. you occasionally see another one but not as often as you see fords and chevy's of the same age running around. i just wish i had a garage so i could restore mine.

Yeah, the plan is to slowly fix this one up. The body is in mostly good shape with a few rust holes but nothing serious.

eyour lucky to live where they don't drop a $h!t load of salt on the road in the winter and weather in not too bad for them. up here they either get destroyed by the salt in the winter or killed by sitting in the long grass.

Yeah, this one's in pretty decent shape, the frame is good, suspension mostly good, body's alright, some damage, not a lot.

It's mostly the god-awful yellow and black racecar on the side. We're likely going to paint it this winter if I can get my dad motivated. lol

Why continue to use the old fusible link technology? Put a circuit breaker in instead. If the system ever overloads you can just reset the breaker instead of replacing another fusible link.

I thought about that. How hard are those to install? Just like installing an inline fuse?

Just like a fuse in a socket.

Cool. I'll see if I can find something that will work.

SEAL what type of circuit breaker are you thinking of? the largest stud type circuit breakers i can find is 50 amp.

the only reason i was thinking fusible link is that it is cheap and still available at most parts store. plus in most cases the fusible links seem to last a fairly long time if you connect them properly.
