I need to replace the alternator/a/c belt and I have to pull the others off before I can get to it.
Just start unbolting pulleys or something?

you should only need to loosen the one bolt and it should let the alternator rotate down and belts should loosen..

Yeah, that's just the alternator belt, I still have the power steering and the idler belts in the way.

if the power steering pump uses a bracket like the picture i posted, loosening both bolts and it should allow the pump rotate easily.

I don't think it does, but I'll look anyhow.

If I can, I'll be poking around under the hood again today.

Didn't find any adjustment for the PS pump. Looks like I'm back to square one on this.

i think you may need to look a bit harder. is there a slot or something in any of the brackets? on my 81 you have to loosen the 1 water pump bolt to pivot the power steering pump.

Looks nothing like that, I guess I'll try cleaning the PS pump bracket and see what I can see.

Even so, it still leaves me with the idler belt, why that's even there I have no idea.

looks like your dash is busted up. lol. looks ok otherwise. so did you get the stereo working or did you just stick it back in so you didn't have an empty hole in the dash?
