I've kinda changed my mind. After watching YouTube videos, I don't like how loud the old cummins are. Don't get me wrong I love loud exhaust, but loud Diesel engines aren't quite as attractive. I'm now leaning towards a gasser. Whether its a rc or a w150 I don't care but had to be a 4x4. Should I go for a 360 5.9 over the 318? I've read there's not a huge difference between the 2 but I find that hard to believe.

318 is near bullet-proof, but when they're worn out, they're worse than the 360.

Just remember, THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT.

Oh of course dude! I'd never do a 360 swap though, not worth it for a lil bit more torque ha. Might just straight pipe the 318 and add new headers and 4 bbl carb

It's a TBI lean burn system. So you'd have to rip the TBI stuff out to run carb.

Oh really? That's actually a relief cuz I thought it still had the 2 bbl which I don't like lol. Would it be better to put bigger injector on or just swap out for 4 bbl carb. I don't know much about electrical btw but I can figure most things out if mechanical.

Here's the Craigslist link http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/4056927981.html (I got dibs so don't contact him! )
He bought it to lift and do fun stuff to it but decided he wanted to work on other projects instead. It has 110k original miles, as far as he knows, bfg tires are the only thing non stock. Engine most likely has not been rebuilt, truck looks VERY clean, he never took it off road (supposedly). Let me know what y'all think.

Well, hell, I was off by a year it looks like. An 87 should still have a carb. It might have a 2 barrel, maybe a 4 barrel.

That RC is VERY clean. I think it would serve you well if you take care of it.

Yea they don't get much cleaner than this! I honestly don't care whether its carb or tbi, either way, it will be upgraded. Well I think I've already caught mod fever, lol so what's some good exhaust idea son a ram charger? And I believe this truck would be emissions exempt too!
