The day I buy it, I'm going straight to autozone and buying a k&n air filter, new spark plugs, royal purple oil, k&n oil filter, and carb cleaner ha! After that will be true duals, and then 4 bbl carb, probably edlebrock.
Don't go to AZ, they suck.
Don't need a KN, get a Spectre or even just an Edelbrock housing, they're much cheaper. Then you got toss in the Spectre and have an extra paper 14x3 filter sitting around. lol
If it hasn't been said, 1992 was the first year of the Magnum engines so it is probably the best to get. WAY more power stock than the previous non magnum motors. However, it does have a crank sensor and such instead of a traditional ignition system. These trucks are getting old so expect to need to swap out things like the crank sensor, or magnetic pivk up and such as well as the in tank fuel pump, and a bunch of switches like the windshelid wiper switch and maybe the heater blower speed switch. All this stuff is cheap comparatively and a good thing to do first if the age of the switches and such is unknown. I mean if you plan to take the truck out of state and stuff. If not then leave the stock stuff in there till it breaks and swap out accordingly. IF I were going to be taking my truck out of town soon, I would change all that stuff. I am actually on the way just needing now to do the wiper switch and motor and the fuel sender pump.
Might do spectre but it definitely won't be fram. This truck will be my daily driver so I don't wana immobilize it by replacing stuff on day 1 lol. All I want to do at first is a tune up. Also I don't care about it not being magnum, not a good enough motor to make me find another rc to buy. By the way I'm not bashing magnums I'm just saying only way they would sway me is if it had 350hp lol. LOL @firefish don't mess with chihuahuas, if you do they will likely bark till your ears fall off!
