93 d250 will run for 10 mins then shut off

I don't think it will START with it unplugged, as the PCM has no clue which injector to fire...... but, once if figgers it out, it apparently can keep up.

Pcm needs to know where #1 cylinder is, It does this by inputs from both the crank and cam sensor. After it knows it can run the engine. Apparently it will stay running with with the cam sensor disconnected(after it starts). You never said if it has any codes. You can get them by doing the key dance...

thank you that makes sense. Yes it has code 11 for the cam/crank single loss. It also has a egr code because the valve is unplugged. One of the pins rusted off inside the connector so I left it disconnected.

the oem crank sensor did the trick. The aftermarket crank sensor didn’t have anywhere near the magnetic force the factory one had plus you could see metal on the end of the oem crank sensor where it reads off the replicator wheel. Runs like a top. Now it blew a brake line😁 thanks guys
