Default 1983 D250 trying to get running again.

Where do I begin.... I impulse bought an '83 D250 to restore. So I'm currently trying to find a coolant reservoir tank, does anyone know where I could find one?

Probably not going to find an original. Check Summit Racing, or Jegs, they have bottles you can retrofit to your truck.

That's your windshield washer tank.
If that plastic is not too brittle, there are a ton of videos/tools/methods for simple plastic repair to get you by until you settle on a permanent fix.

That's not your coolant tank, that's your windshield washer tank. Try some of the truck restoration sites.

I think restore is a word often over used ..... I prefer repaired.
Seriously if you were going to restore the truck, you would strip it down to a bare frame and start restoring from there putting everything back to original.
A coolant reservoir would not even be close to one of your first questions on the truck.

I have a old truck I have been "repairing" for a couple years now .... I'm slow.

I'm not doing a restoration, just going through it and repairing it .... that includes replacing missing paint.

When it comes to a radiator, it was close to $2K to restore original honeycomb radiator .... I had a used radiator that is a huge 3 core and does not leak.

Sure it is beat up but free and does the job.

Finish it all off and give it some paint ..... I have a working cooling system for less then $50.

Here is my coolant reservoir I might add when I'm ready.

My only point is to try to keep you from getting lost in the weeds with restoration ...... You need a coolant reservoir tank .... fine, go to the wrecking yard and pick out one that will be satisfactory and work. ..... keep your eyes open for a original, you may find it .... in the meantime just repair it and make it work. So you can drive the truck and enjoy it.

You get too concerned about exact original parts, you will get discouraged and never drive the truck.

Try LMC truck, they will even send you a free catalog just for your truck. Also Rock Auto has them as well.
