you can try a scan tool problem is autozone types are usually not specific and cant read ecu readings well only tell you error codes itll probably be inside the frame rail yes itll be canister type probably 3 -5 inchs long just follow the fuel lines youll eventully find it if all else fails simply take it in for a diagnios tell them the problem and theyll look at it tell you whats wrong and you just fix it yourself

Found filter i kept looking on frame side of tank, ended up being on the passenger side of the tank, near the bed floor. Scan tools are f-ing exspensive, cheapest $3,650, i didn't spend that on the truck!!! Does autozone have them and what would it cost to use one?
