Ok yours is the same as mine, starter is the third one. When you check with keys the check engine light will flash codes, it will blink the first number then pause and then blink the second number. Like 5 flashes then pause and 5 more is 55.

When you first turn the key on and the relays click do you notice any other electrical devices flickering or doing strange things?
It's the computers job to activate the relay/s when you first turn the key to "on". I would check the plugs/connections at the computer for looseness, bent pin/s or corrosion. It's ground may be badand your battery cables need to be squeeky clean and tight at both ends. Or they may need to be replaced due to corrosion under the insulation that you cannot see.
This is a Service Bulletin from Dodge on the crank sensor that you might want to read/fix? don't think this is the problem though as the computer only uses the crank sensor signal "after" the engine starts torotate, you are not getting any starter at all until the clicking stops...correct? But like the previous post says one of the wires could be shorting out at the sensor causing strange electrical noise and voltage problems at the computer?
