Does it bang and bottom out, gotta cut the bumpstops off , ride like hell? Throw the upper control arm geometry into a cocked hat? What about bumpsteer? Not being a dick, just honest questions. My truck sees the shady side of 130 mph on occasion, [will go faster, but the hood tries to leave, need some hood pins] and unexpected lane changes, puckered upholstery isn't cool. It's a big block, kinda nose heavy anyway.

we do cut the bump stops in the front. but no bump steer no alignment issues . I think my red truck rides and handles better then stock.the wight truck has the 380 hp 360 crate motor and a 4 speed from a charger and a nos sestem it runs mid 12's on the motor and we have not used the nos on the track but it will see well in to the triple digets . we have driven it all the way to spring field a 4 hour drive no problems no discomfert. the black shop truck has a 3.9 and a 5 speed and we took it to Florida last summer 16 hour drive same no problems and no discomfert in the ride

Yeah, they look great, but convincing my wife to drop $545.00 just for the front control arms when I spent $600 for the whole truck is another story. And I am 100% sure they are worth it, I'm not saying that, I just don't have the $$$ right now.

I pulled my front suspension out completely over the weekend, today I got my upper control arms and strut rod media blasted I,m hoping that my poly upper control arm bushings come in tommorow so I can get it painted and put back together that way when my new springs and lower control arms come in I will be ready for them.

Tell her, well hmmmm,uh, can't come up withanything plausible. How about look how much I saved by startin' with a $600 truck. Nah, only gave $600 for mine too, my wife don't buy it either. She insists on having 4 bags of makeup, 276.3 shoes,6 diff. shampoos, ya know, the things she just can't breathe without .............

Well, I ordered the rear flip kit from the guy here. I decided that in the front, I am going to do 2" shorter springs, and belltech drop spindles. I already have the nitroactive drop shocks, and they need the 2" drop spring. I dunno if I can use the air shocks I bought for the back, I hope so.

This will be my first major modification to the truck, to get the suspension the way I want it.

Say, anybody know how wide a wheel and tire I can fit under the truck? I am looking at a 15X8 and a 15X10 rim. I am thinking that 10 will be just too wide, but the 8" rim should be nice with some fat tires.

Look at the pic of my truck in this post. The back is a 15-8 w/ 31.5/10.5 -15s, the fronts are 15-7s w/235/75-15s. Got a set of 10 inchers for the back,w/3 1/2' backspacing. No way they'd clear a lowered rear with that backspacing. If I remember right, they clear the inner fender about 1 1/2'

The pic is on pg 7 but you can't tell much. Anyhow, with the right b/s 8s oughta work front and rear.
