Any way to get d150 drop spindles?
just ordered 2' drop shackles from truckin supension 81$ shipped. if i figure out how to post pics ill put some up. my truck is a bit ugly but thats alright its gonna be a sleeper.
I see people mentioning Shackles. I know the truckinsuspension ones for 1978-93 part# SHA DO7893 Are $69 plus shipping.
I also see that their hangers are $99. Is that unreasonably high? Can we use another part, or are we stuck with that?
I posted previously about the shocks that I am using. I have the silverado shocks here and the rear air shocks are coming today.
I was also fairly disappointed to find out that I have the 5" bolt pattern on my 1985. Looks like wheels will be a little more difficult to find. A friend had dodge supercoupe wheels that would have been awesome.

Got '83 rotors on my '84, and they're 4 3/4. Got the wheels off the '83 on all four corners. The '83 was my previous hot rod till it got hit in the front. It lives on as a 3/4 ton after a frame swap from a '73!

in 84 was when they went to that stupid bolt patteren and the different bearing in the inside of the rotor they all still use the same outside bearing but 84 up they use a different inside and the dakota spindle uses the same big inside bearing

It got clear up to 40* today, so I did some work on my truck.
I was going to leave the springs on top of the axle, and try to flatten them to lowerit. After much debate with my self, I convinced me to try the axle flip. I was amazed at how easily the bolts came out of the oem shackles. Thank God for southern trucks! I now have the axle on top of the springs. I just need to get the u-bolts, centerbolts, saddles, and make a plate. Then I can tear into the front end and cut those coils.
I think I'll get it down and only spend about $15-$20
I also found out my driveshaft rubbed something at some time and has a groove worn around it. New driveshaft time.
Then Istraightened a gas tank hanger bracket, which looked as if someone hung it up on a stump somewhere. It too unbolted easily. The tank has dent in it, which I'm hoping will push itself out when summer comes and I fill it up.
When I get it back on the ground I'll post pics.
