definatly a stronger axle, but it will need more hp to turn it,more weight, maybe do a little measuring to make sure a lot of modification is not needed as it may cost more than the effort.

i just got my 6 cylinder runiing right. had a bad fuel pump. now that i see the power the litle 6 puts out i can just imagine what a 318 will be like. I plan on lowering the back and tubbing it out for some 15x10 wheels and some 14 inch wide tires. Do you know what the stock 8.25 will handle, or should i run something different.

thanks
An inline six with a decent sized carb and intake/header can put out a lot of torque. I've only driven my '81 W150 and a friends '80s D150 that both had 318s with 2 barrels but both are dogs. Neither one is low mileage so that is part of it but still...

my 318 only has 20,000 miles on it since it was built crank, cam, pistons, head work, intake 4bbl. i dont think it will be a dog.
