i just got my 6 cylinder runiing right. had a bad fuel pump. now that i see the power the litle 6 puts out i can just imagine what a 318 will be like. I plan on lowering the back and tubbing it out for some 15x10 wheels and some 14 inch wide tires. Do you know what the stock 8.25 will handle, or should i run something different.

thanks

With a 318,you should be ok,but I would not do any neutral drop type stuff.

You will need to do some rewireing of the truck, you can use the computer to run the fuel pump with a bypass regulator or use an inline pump.
You will need an ignition system, distributor, box(msd, mallory?).
Remember ,the computer is operating a lot of things, charging system, gauges, fuel, spark, all that stuff will need addressed.
Consider parts off of an older truck of the same model that had carburation.

I have the Mopar Performance Electronic Ignition Conversion Kit. Im getting an Edelbrock fuel regulator to drop the psi from 14 to 5-6 for the carb.

Sounds good, every part is one step closer.
My biggest problem is I have to do all the work in my driveway no garage.
