Did you get the number? I`ve been working weird hours, so it`s made it kind of hard to call sometimes.

Yeah I got the number. Been working late myself. Started building a pallet today to ship the sheetmetal to you. 4' wide,6'long,53' high.Shouldn't weigh over 2-3 tons.Hope you can unload it! May have to drag it off the truck with a tractor. [I'm sort of kidding. A little] Only way to ship the stuff without it getting mangled. The hood is the hardest peice to crate. Should ship Monday orTuesday.

I have it figured out enough that the radio, horn, turn signals, emergency flashers, and blower motor work now. The only thing I can`t do is find which wires to connect to make it crank when I turn the key, but at least I`m getting somewhere now.

It kind of reminds me of that song "There ain`t nothin` Wrong with the Radio".

I got your parts crated last night. Hood, hinges, right fender, core support, grille, valance, cowl valance, cover for the heater box, allthe bolts, screws etc.Don't have the headlight bezels, right oneis cracked. Will send 'em if youwant to use anyway. Anything else you can think of?Will call Fud-Eks Monday. Actually FedEx Freight is pretty quick. The ground service takes forever. I think the orange? wire on the relay is crank, the green? is a grnd to nuetral safety. The dome light plug was different, and had a floor mntd dimmer switch. Can't remember anything else inside that didn't plug up except for the power windowrelays.
BTW.Vacation are you? hrmmph Must be nice. Hope you get sunburned. Enjoy.

I still have the original bezels, they actually made it out in one piece somehow. I think part of my wiring issue was staring at it for too many hours. The only real differences on the interior are the dimmer switch and the wiper switch (in 88 it was on the column), but the circuits do work. They think I`m nuts because the battery I have been using won`t hold a full charge, so I ran an extension cord and hooked up a charger with the battery so I can use the radio while I work.

And I think I did sunburn the back of my neck.

I figured my ignition switch problem out. I am embarassed to admit that part of it was a loose connection I didn`t see. I also had to temporarilly bypass my neutral safety switch. I think that the problem there is using a 2wd harness in a 4wd truck, the connections for the neutral switch and backup lights are slightly different, but nothing that a few days work can`t fix.

It's an '86 4x4 Ramcharger harness. A few things are different than a '88 no doubt about it. Took a while to go the opposite direction of yours, putting the '88 stuff on my '86. Glad to hear it's working out OK. Which way you going on the ign.? Factory computer? Found thesteering shaft, but no coupling pot for the box on it. Want it? Guess you could put a U-joint on in place of the pot. Lot of guys do that anyhow as the pot is prone to getting full of trash and wearing out.
I'll throw a wiper switch/bezel and dimmer switch in the box too.

I think I`ll run the factory computer, at least for a while. Yeah, I`ll take the shaft (that doesn`t sound quite right), I would have eventually put u-joints in anyway like you said. I think the stock wiring for my neutral switch and backup lights come in on the other side of the truck, but I am fairly certain I can fix that. Just let me know what I owe you when you have that shipped.
