Default 2nd gen steering column in 1st gen truck

I know a guy who may be about to part out a 95 Ram, and I am a little curious as to whether or not the column would fit. I don`t mind a little modification, but I don`t want to get in over my head either. But since this guy is a good friend of my dad`s (not to mention my barber), I probably can get a good deal. And what about the steering box, power steering pump, intermediate shaft, will those fit somewhat???

The column by itself would be a 'project'. Different everything. Were those parts damaged in the hurricane also? I've got an '86 tilt column, and a '83 P.S. box in decent shape,if you pay the freight you can have 'em.Hell, ask nice I might even split the cost. What else do you need? I'm trying to reduce my inventory, the 'I might need that someday' in me hates to chunk good parts, but I don't have decent place to keep most of it. I've also got all the front sheet metal for an '88, yours if you want it. Straight, rust free. The '88 needs to go to the boneyard. So does the '83. So does the '90 Dakota. Ditto the Daytona. The spare Rampage needs to go but damn it's straight.................

Is the harness andtheother parts going to be OK? Cold and wet here when we got back. Will start pulling your sheetmetal etc.this week when the rain quits. Good to have met you and your family. Was a long trip. 1448.3 mi. altogether. Mother in-law called twice more after we left your house. Maybe she has OCD?

That`s a mother for ya. I have the column in and the dash harness and it fits like a glove, just sorting out the few subtle differences, but going to work fine. I am off work next week, so I should get a little more done then. It was also nice to meet you and your wife, maybe we can get together again sometime.

Got the sheetmetal off today. Gonna send you a grille too,it's not perfect, but it'll do till you find a better one. The radiator is shot. On the A/C box, do you need the whole plenum assy, dash vents and all,or just the panel that the blower mtr attaches to? I have the complete system, including the hoses, condenser, comp. Still had a charge in it. I also founda distributor out of a 360with an advance in it. Will send it,will work with an MSD box if the fact. comp. isn't how you want to go.Dual pick up,just hook 1 pick up to MSD signal input.
Can't find your phone number, call me or E-mail the number.

I think I can get by with just the panel for the blower motor. I don`t plan on running a/c on it, just a heater. I don`t like a compressor sucking power off the motor. I will email you the number.
