Test fitted front sheet metal

RE: Test fitted front sheet metal
I spent a little time looking it over with the ol` calibrated eyeball, and everything seems even ( aside from needing a couple shims), just the nose seems to dive. I really think I can lift the core support maybe an eighth of an inch and correct the alignment. I`ve never had alot of body experience, so this is an educational thing for me. I think before we finally called it a day me and dad cussed the tools, the truck, each other, and my brother (and he isn`t even here). But I have about five days to plan before I make another run at it. I really think that the bushings may be too short/worn under the support. I guess I`ll find out next weekend.
And on a side note, that pallet you built is the perfect size to park a small John Deere mower on. Now once I adapt a 46" Craftsman deck to it, it should be fine. Not every riding mower has a custom exhaust with a 3.5 inch echo chamber and a 2 inch tip. You can hear that bad boy four or five houses down clearly. My brother calls it Satan`s mower, because it`s louder than hell. Wait till I`m done with my truck.
Didn`t you see the Mythbusters try a rocket powered car? Besides, I`ve got more weight holding those tires down........

Had a mower,black,flames,25hp Kohler V-twin,twin chrome stacks, overdriven blades. Sounded like a smallairplane. Was originally a 10 horse. Would cut down large trees. Neihbors would stare and shake their heads. Had half a block to mow, didn't take long.
Glad the sheetmetal is working out. 1/8 inch shims under the bushings shouldn't be a problem.

This mower was a freebie, only have $90 in it. The deck just finally rusted out. Dad won`t let me modify the 20hp Kohler on the Craftsman, so I just found another toy. I don`t think getting the front clip to line up will be to terribly difficult, but I don`t think I`ll ever have children after yesterday. Didn`t realize how heavy that stuff was I guess.

I plan on getting back to that tomorrow. I`ve worked late a few days this week, so I haven`t had much chance yet. I did look at that core support though, it looks like maybe the bushings are uneven. That explains why the right side seems to be further out of whack. I have a few days to experiment with it now though.

Cool. Every time I get ready to work on ol Greeny, somethin else needs doin' first. Had golfball sized hail 1/4 mile down the road.
Time to get that carport add on done. Used to keep Greeny in the one holer I got, the new Chrysler is in there now. Guess I'll start on that
this weekend. There goes anther $2500-3000 that could be used for hotrod parts.
