intake problem

Default intake problem

i am driving a 1990 dodge d150.with a 5-speed manual transmisstion.i just had to replace the intake manifold gaskets only to figure out the guy that had it before me but the wrong intke on it...i have no idea how it was running but it was...but what i am asking is there anyone that has a spare one or know anywhere i can buy one.....i can not find anyone that carries a intake for a 3.9liter v6 they only have them for the v8

local junk yard would be the first place i would check.

yes, and many larger junkyards are computer networked with others...they can help you find one.

Try www.partshotlines.com. That was the only place I could find a Dana 44 for my truck.

Just curious,what do you mean by the wrong intake?Was it from a different year?How did you find out it was the wrong one?Is that why you had to replace the gaskets?I learn alot from reading different posts and if you could provide a little more information,it could keep some of us from making this same mistake.thanks

well i had it all takein apart and i was ready to put it all back together and when i put the intake on the motor i started puttin the bolts in and i notice there was a hole i took a screw driver and i could stick it inside the engine block.i guess the person who had it before me siliconed or put some kinda gasket stuff over the hole but all this comes down to the intake wasnt high enough to match up to my motor
