even a beat-up, ugly *** rust bucket has a certain charm. trucks look good in dirt.

Amen to that Nemesis. The rust spots add character. Not to mention when I load it full of crap, I am not worried about chipping the paint.

is that factory paint? its exactly how i want to paint mine (exept with red hood istead of white). problem is my paints still pretty good so it just feels wrong.

anyhow i really like it. looks great for 24 years.

no, it isnt factory paint. I actually want to paint it the same colors but shrink the white. I want to follow the razor line all the way around the body so it kind of makes a c stripe. I need to learn how to do some body work first though. I have some panels that are rusting more than I had originally thought.

Yeah I think so. I want to do it for the learning experience. I already have most of the equipment, and there is a cool howto online. http://www.easypaintyourcar.com/. I figure for 20 bucks it would be worth the tips and tricks I could learn. The paint job on there is from the previous owner and is a crappy home job anyway so it couldn't look any worse than that.
