Though the side pipes have be'en on a while they were not hooked up,I finally dug out some pieces of exhaust pipe and fired up the welder and hooked them up and as usual I did not think about a long sleeve shirt and now I am feeling it,tell me I am not the only dumb@#* that does this.

 

you are not. i can never remember it either. until afterwards.... like a bad trip to the beach.

 

ive done that before.. maybe even two times. Definitely wouldnt recommend this way to get a tan.

 

nothing worse than welding something while you are smushed under it. when i rebuilt the unibody rails on my rambler (which was just on jackstands) its was a terrible experience. I even had sparks fizzle out in my ear (earwax has a use after all!)

they even landed in my pants, if you know what i mean.

 

Oh the pain we go though for our rides..lol

 

I have plenty of scars from welding under trucks.

 

they should make kevlar undies

 

I have welding leathers that I use when I think about using them. They sure are hot in the summer though.
