I am looking into that as well, since i finally figured out that that is the problem with mine. From what ive heard you have to take out the entire regulator and motor from in the door (which is riveted to the door) but i did notice the motor is just bolted to the regulator assembly so if you have small enough tools and hands can you just take it off w/o taking the regulator out?
hopefully we can get this figured out.

I replaced my manual windows with power windows. It was no big deal to drill out the regulator rivets to remove the regulators. When I installed the new regulators I used bolts with ny-lock nuts instead of the rivets.

so you do have to take the regulator out of the door to get to the motor? someone already did this on my pass. door so there are just nuts and bolts but the driver is still rivited on.
How hard would it be to replace the power window regulator with a manual one? do they use the same holes for mounting?
Thanks
