Default not so fast, anymore.

Hello folks,
i've got an 81 dodge w250 with a lil 318 in 'er.
in the past couple years i've done some engine work, swapped a tranny, and put in a new torque converter.
Somewhere along the line my top speed went from 90-100 down to 65-70. I just run outta gears.
i'm pretty sure i still had the top speed after i swapped the tranny.
Don't see how a torque converter would be able to do this.
Someone told me the clutch packs could be worn out or something.
but i have no clue, any help would be much appreciated.
thank you

are you sure the that the transmission you installed was the exact same model as you pulled out? the top speed is 65-70 km/h or m/h? nice truck.

Yeah same exact truck, same year, same model, same everthing.

Your converter may just be slipping too much to get to that high a speed. Put your original converter back in then try it if you can.
