anything is possible, just need something to cut iron, a good welder, and some decent fabrication skills, it has been done many times...

Why? Please don't say you want to lift a 2wd... that's lame.

There's nothing wrong with coils. If anything, they give you a nicer ride.

I actually plan on lifting my d159 this summer, just 2 inches. This is just to help get through/over some of the snow banks here in the UP.

if you want a 4wd you should just go out and buy one. it would be cheaper and way easier. there is no point in converting a 2wd to 4wd unless you plan on building a super expensive offroad\mudding rig.

converting over to 4wd is not that hard or expensive at all on these trucks, parts are fairly easy an cheap to come by, at least around here, find one at the wrecking yard or somewhere you can scavenge the pieces from at a low price, but your biggest problem will be the trans and t-case, if you are auto, the trans housing is different between 2 & 4wd, so will need to be changed or replaced with a 4wd trans, other than that all the nessesary parts pretty much just bolt in, just need to lop the 2wd suspention off, put on a set of front spring hangers, and install the shackle bushings, then axle, drive shafts, trans, t-case & crossmember, and t-case linkage

the mounting holes are already on the frame for the spring shakles! guys with the two wheel drive, check it out for your self. I noticed this at the salvage yard. some good grade 8 bolts with aircraft locking nuts is all that is needed. The 4 wd has mountong holes to convert to 2 wd also.

What is the deal with ramchargers ? Are the leafs interchangeable onto a 82' D250 ?
