Location jack in the chassis

Default Location jack in the chassis

Hi,

I have a Ram Charger 92, but I donīt know where I can put the original factory Jack in the chassis to change the tires. Please, somebody help me?

Mine was in the engine bay next to the radiator on the passenger side.

aaron i think he ment where to position it under the truck to jack it up to change a tire like if you where to get a flat.

Yah, that would make more sense haha.

I just jack by the point on the frame closest to the wheel I want up. If I'm changing wheels, I jack up the rear axle under the pumpkin.

aaron7; You should never jack under the pumpkin itself. This can cause the axle tubes to loosen where they enter the pumpkin.

I never heard it called a pumpkin. I have used a floor jack there before i guess i better not now.

I've never heard of axle tubes loosening up. Jacking it up in the center is commonplace... if your axle tubes are falling off you have other issues!

I have never seen an axle tube fall off either. All I am doing is passing on information that I obtained from my fathers mechanic training manual that he got from Dodge about 40 years ago.
