Default I found the milky water in my Oil! NOO!

So I just found some water and a milky white substance in my oil. I'm hopping its due to the lack of oil cap temportarly replaced by duct tape. (IT HAS BEEN REPLACED BUY NEW CAP) But if not I need some advice on how to check if its a head gasket, cylinder head or block problem. I had the cylinders pressure checked and two were low 7 and 5 and at equal pressure. I hope its a gasket and fear the worst. Is there a way to find out without ripping my engine apart? And if it is the block or head I could use suggestions on what engine to replace the OE '74 360, and were to get it. Thanks to anyone that can help!

an oil change it the only way to test if water got in while you had no cap on it.

Is coolant low? When warmed up is there pressure on the hoses?

There are additives out there that claim to seal leaking head gaskets if that is what it is. They might be worth a try after you change the oil. What were the pressures you got in the test?

Sounds to me like a bad head gasket. I wouldn't think a cracked waterjacket would give you the same kind of leakage readings. Especially since you have low compression on cylinders 5 and 7, it sounds like the gasket blew out right between them. Then on the other hand if it is a cracked block and you add some kind of 'head gasket fixer' it could completely gum up your coolant passages. Good luck.

I would pull the head and see if you find a blown head gasket, adding head gasket sealer is at best a short term fix.

Thankyou everyone for the great advice. I ended up doin an oil change and found no other evedince of foreign liquid in my oil. I did find a leaky valve cover gasket though. However I dont think this will be the end of my issue I'm gonna double check my coolant (wich does hold pressure) and do another compression test on 5 and 7. Just to be sure. Thanks again everyone!
