Default seafoam

done the seafoam treatment this morning... 5oz to carb, 5oz to oil, and a little over 5oz to fuel tank. it smoked pretty good while i was dumping it into the carb but after i let it set for 5 minutes or so it really didn't smoke that bad. the truck just rolled over 100k yesterday and when i changed the oil it was still kinda dirty thats why i decided to give this a try. did i do something wrong? all the videos i watched on youtube showed the vehicle smoking like crazy at start up.

Do it multiple times through the intake. The first time I did it (1/3 of a can) not much smoke. The second and third time, a lot of smoke, and by the third time a performance increase.

Added 1/3 of can with motor running (keeping it just slightly running the whole time). Turned motor off, let sit for 5 mins. Started it up and drove until I could not really see the smoke. Then repeated until can was empty.

I did this on a 1994 with a blown plenum so there was a lot of carbon to be removed. On your carbed truck it may not be as noticeable but it still may help.

i read after you put it in the crankcase you can run it for 30 miles or you can run it until the oil is dirty, but mine is already dirty. should i change it at 30 miles or give it more time to break up the grime?

what about doing it in the vaccum line that goes from the brake booster to the rear of the intake manifold?

The carb will not get any of the benefits if you use the brake booster hose.

got another can of seafoam today put it in the vacuum line and it reved up real high, it never acted like it was going to die. it did smoke alot while pouring it in. i shut it off and poured some in the line and let it set for a few started it up and it smoked alot. i put about 3oz in the line and poured 2oz in the carb to kill it. meanwhile i changed my oil after about 50 miles of putting seafoam in the crankcase and i have never seen the oil that clean after a change! but i have driven it about 10-15 miles with a heavy foot and it is still smoking a bit. i'm in for the night so we'll see what tomorrow brings
