Alright next time i am out by a dealership i will get a build sheet and ill figure out my tranny situation. Another problem i am having is it is idling very high? any ideas on that?

You really have no control over the idle as it is controlled by the computer.

on youre high idle situation,check and see if you have any trouble codes to rule those out.

Overdrive unit is a separate add on to the 3 speed 727. You probably have 46Rh trans. The overdrive unit will kick in only when the computer sees a certain speed attained. If your speedometer doesn't work neither will overdrive.
