well i figured it was a wire casue theres alot of chewed wires and some that are chewed in half. So last night i was under there striping and hooking the wires i could find a mate to (matching the color of the wire) and where the wires run along the gas tank i cant reach to fix. So would taking the bed off to reach them be a good idea? And since my gas gage doesnt work I could check the sending unit well the beds off.
taking the box off might be easier than dropping the tank but i don't think it will help you get a look at the wires in the frame rail behind the gas tank
Workd on it for 4 hours last night and got it all runing right. It was all a wiring problem and my reverse lights problem was a bad ground. So now i have to fix my gas gage, radio, and my brakes. Thanks for the help everyone.
The Haynes does NOT, show any kind of diagram for the fuel pump. Not even in the back with the rest of the diagrams. I'm looking now. They don't even specify wire color in the fuel system section of the book. I can't say for sure, but the chiltons would be your best bet.
