I've got a 1984 Ram D150 Prospector 2WD with the 318 c.i.d. V8 and the 3-speed automatic transmission. As of today, it has 97,889 miles. My grandfather was the original owner and we inherited it after his passing in 1992. It had 35,000 miles at the time. We had to rebuild the transmission in 1998 because 3rd gear blew out while Dad was driving down the interstate at 65 MPH. We repainted it and put a bed cap (Beaner Shell, as said by my co-workers) on it a year later. After we moved (again) 5 years ago, we parked it for a while. This year, however, my Dad and I replaced the carburetor and intake manifold ourselves with new Edelbrock equipment because the carburetor floats went bad and the manifold's EGR ports were clogged up. I got my license this year and use it as my daily driver to school and work. Early in 2006, I'm putting a racing exhaust and an MSD ignition system on it. Right now, the 0-60 time is around 7.5 seconds, but that will get better with the exhaust system. I've also got a 1999 Plymouth Grand Voyager with 95,000 miles and the 3.3 Liter V6, but I won't get into the details of that piece of crap.

7 seconds is really fast for a 4500lb truck.

nearly 6 months later and the Ram's at 258k and the Dakota's at 50k.

85 D150 with 146K miles. Has the 318(rebuilt 10K ago) V8 and A999 Transmission(need to swap for A727). Dad bought it new before I was born in 1986(i feel old). My grandpa bought it early 1990s and when he passed away it was left to me in his will.

Hey i was born in 1986... My 20th birthday will be Feb. 28...
I have a 1982 dodge ram with a 360 v8 and 4sp tranny, but the engine and tranny arent origional, so i have no idea how many miles are on them. The speedometer doesn't work right because i have 35in tires, and it only says 86,000, so i am guessing over 120,000.

My 20th b-day is March 8th. One more year! Anyways to keep on topic: my speedo cable used to squeek but it went away after a week of driving. My previous truck(97 Ram 1500) had 160K on it when I sold it and then later inherited the 85 D150. Now just to replace the transmission in it, another story.

I have an 89 d100 and I too got it when it had only 83,000 on it, that was a year ago, but now since it's a daily driver it has 150,000.
