Default Tiff's monster build a.k.a. my tow rig

Ok, so I picked up a wrecked 91 dodge d250 ( 3/4 ton 2wd) with a 360 tbi w/ automatic with 139k on the odometer for $400 bucks for tiff to drive as a first vehicle and for me to use as a tow rig ( until i can afford to buy her something more suitable but for the time being it's her toy) . Anyways the kid that owned it let his buddy's girl drive it and to make a long story short she locked the brakes up and wiped out a sign and the front clip of this truck. He was selling it because he couldn't figure out why it would no longer run. I looked at the truck and noticed that the computer for the tbi was located in the driver side front fender ( where the sign hit ) so it was a no brainer that the pcm was toast. So I purchased it on a whim. An $85 pcm and a $15 hall effect sensor later she was purring like new. I found a Front clip in cleburne off a 92 w150 (1/2 ton 4x4) for $125 ( driver side fender, core support, driver side inner fender well, battery tray, radiator, fan shroud, performance transmission cooler, all the lights, grill, and the little strip of sheet metal below the grill that runs behind the bumper.) and so far this is what we came up with. WARNING she is not at all pretty at this moment but we have good intentions

Time to do something about that muscle car look. I installed front spring out of a d350 diesel, got them from the junkyard for $50.00.

I have plenty more to come including pics of my Free onboard viair air system and seige engineering train horns I just installed the other day.
Things to come in the future :
Convert rear axle to Disc brakes - Prob. here in the next month or so hopefully before the truck rodeo.
Build custom rear bench conversion to get rid of the factory jump seats. prob use square tubing for the frame. - This summer.
Pull engine and freshin it up a bit with double roller timing chain, new gaskets all the way, headers, possibly a small cam, and an edelbrock intake. - This summer.
Have exhaust rebuilt and go back with true duals - This summer.
Convert to four wheel drive - Possibly next spring
Fix body panels, prep for paint, and have it painted this color blue.

This is one of my customer's tacoma I installed an 8" suspension lift and a 3" body lift on it. tiff liked the color so that what we are going for.

There will be lots of other little things I will add along the way.

Not a bad old truck at all! $125 for a whole front clip is a good friggen deal, I tried to get a grille for my 91, and everyone wanted at least $85. Decent deal you got there tho

i had a guy that i was going to buy a front clip and bed from w/ a fifth wheel hitch for 200 but I lost his number. The front clip i got was a smoking deal and i was actually going to get the whole truck which was in perfect running order not one thing wrong with it for 500 but i didnt have the cash at the time so i just took the front clip and when i went back to buy the rest of the truck two weeks later he had stripped it all apart and was trying to sell everything individually. I was pissed!!

I have a 86 d 150 and the front is low. I want to raise it up. How hard is it to remove the springs and did you do it yourself? Thanks
