You may have to settle for a junkyard part at least until or if you can find a new one.

well the 2 dealers i found to have them, neither one has the switch.
i went to bone yard today, found one from a 91,same part number 56005783(a/c temp cycling switch). i put it in, the only problem i had was i could not get the probe to slide all the way in the line. tried couple of times.
started the truck up and turned the a/c on,and it worked. turned on and off 5 times, worked every time. will not having the probe/sensor all the way in effect anything?? its in but about 2inches less than its supposed to be. thank you

The sensing part of the tube is mainly in the front of the bulb. If the bulb is reaching the flow of the coolant it should be OK. I would try to insulate the part you couldn't get in place as much as possible and use it as long as it works.

Aje,
How did you figure out that it was the AC temp cycling switch? What exactly does it do?

BTW, congrats on getting it done. Hopefully that was it!

hey sixgun,
well i already changed out the w.o.t a/c cutout relay, the only thing left, was the temp cycling switch and the low pressure cutout switch.
i just kind of figured it was an electrical problem,so took a chance and changed temp cycling switch.
does your a/c work? i had to go to bone yard to get one, cause no longer able to get at any dealer, and there is no aftermarket for it at all.
the last one in the USA was sold 2 weeks ago at the dodge dealer in
PLEASONTON TX. i guess i did not find it fast enough. thank you

hey sixgun, sorry i missed your other question.
i believe the a/c temp cycling switch senses temp in the main suction line and kicks the a/c compressor clutch off so the evaporator does not freeze up. it cycles the clutch on and off at certain temps.
im a beginner at this a/c stuff, i could be off a little but it should give you an idea of what it does. thank you
