Default Choking

My 88 D100 now wants to choke out once the engine warms up. We replaced the torque converter about 6 months ago and its been running great. Now, when I go to work in the mornings, she runs fine, but in the afternoon, after she has been running awhile...she doesn't want to excellerate...but she idles fine when in park.

Thanks

When does it start doing this, while accelerating or when you take your foot off the gas?

Check the injector spray pattern when this happens. Injectors can be fine when cold and start to stick and miss fire when they warm up. It could also be the computers coolant sensor.

it does this when using the accelerator...

I will check the injectors as well as the sensor

appreciate the advice

btw, does anyone know if a private (non-dealer) shop in the Roanoke VA area that understands these older Dodge's? I unfortunately live in a condo right now and all of my shop tools are back home in North Carolina...so I cannot do much work on it myself until I buy another house up here.

There is a place down on 8th street in Salem that I have used for engine stuff. It is on the 500 block but I can't remember the name right now. I will get you their name. The owner has excellent knowledge and is an honest man. They are diagonal from B&B transmissions which is also a good place to use for tranny stuff. I trust Brambleton auto for front end stuff and alignment.

Thanks a bunch for the info...appreciate it!

And the problem was indeed a bad injector...went ahead and had both replaced....running great again

Next to-do item is to remove my front glass and replace the seal (it leaks)...any recomendations for bodywork folks around here?

Had my windsheild replaced and the seal got damaged. I moved out of province and discovered the leak next rainy season. Just put clear silicone caulking around the seal where it sits on the metal and it has not leaked in 10 years.
