You just can't throw bigger injectors and throttle body on your truck and expect more power.
FI works as a "system" and you will need to get a tuner (such as an SCT from Hughes Engines) and match all the components.
Hughes Engines sells a much better intake manifold set up than the stock intake. They also have all the other FI parts you would need to improve your fuel injection performance.

Keep your eyes on the prize. WHAT IS YOUR GOAL? The only thing you have said is you love carbs and you want to be able to spin 38-40 inch tires. I haven't heard a modification offered in this thread that will accomplish these things. Just adding fuel, whether it is carb or injection will not get you where you have said you want to go.

..and as Seal pointed out earlier...you need better axles to even run tires that size safely!!
The throttle bodies you linked to were for multi point injection, not throttle body injection. They won't let you mount the injectors in the throttle body, so they won't work. Thats the style used on the magnum engines.
Methinks you should do some basic bolt-ons to your truck, and save up for a 72-87 hd truck. You could pick up a real nice truck with probably dana 60 and 70 axles, 4.11s, a big 727, and either a 4bbl small block, or a big block for probably about the same amount as you'd spend trying to get your engine to make the power you want. Then it would just be a matter of throwing on a suspension lift, spicing up the top end for a little more kick, and driving off into the sunset with 38 inch mudders growling away.
