@ sixgun: Kinda looks like a cap, I didnt try to pull it off though lol. Looking at the diagram, it should be the right one though.

Blah, thats not a cap for the evap can. Took the carb right off and that piece is casted on. Looks like I either leave it dangling for now, seeing as I wont be keeping the carb very long, or else T it into the PCV valve. Is this a plausible idea?

Figured out the throttle cable, had it on the wrong side of the rod. Put it on the other side with a cotter pin in the hole and were good. So the carbs all done for now. Changed the antifreeze, tranny oil, then the engine oil wasnt even on the dipstick. Seeing as its sat for 6-8 years and I already have a filter, I drained that too. :P Gotta pick up some oil then well see if she'll fire.

In theory, I guess you could tee the charcoal cannister into the PCV line. It will still get sucked into the manifold and burned.

So here's where Im at. Topped up the oil, hooked up the battery, cranked her over and..... no firing. Turns over but thats it. Ok, checked the fuel first since its sat for like 4 months, and theres none coming to the carb. So I tried pressuring the fuel tank and bleeding the lines, nope, nothing. Took a suction gun and hooked it in just before the carb and it would pull gas, but it would just drain back. I thought this was weird as I figured the fuel pump wouldnt let it drain back. Now, I changed the mechanical pump a while back because the old one was seized. The guy had a run an electric pump on it but I figured Id go mechanical for simplicity sake. Turns out the cam doesnt run a mechanical. :P That was $50 for nothing.... Luckily my boss had an old electric one laying around. So I rigged it to a toggle switch temporarily just to see if it works. Presto!! We have fuel! And no spark. :P The old GM HEI conversion is pooched so im scraping it and going back to the stock mopar ignition module and resister for now. Gotta re-wire it and try again. Hopefully after christmas she'll be goin again.
On a better note, the Dana 60 is just about done. Here's what I did to get the disc brake brackets to fit.

As you can see the brackets wont fit over the axle housing. So its going to take a little modding.

I took a grinder and ground the ridge down enough on 3 side for the bracket to fit over. Gave it a shot of paint after so it wasnt just bare metal.

Here's the bracket bolted on and torqued to 55 ft lbs.

The brackets didnt come with spacers, so here's one of my crudely made ones. Just took some grade 8 washers to the grinder and voila! I used on washer for each bolt as 2 spaced it out too far.

Here's this side all done. Looks pretty good IMO. I used the front soft brake lines off my '83 D250 because the ones for a '79 chev k20 had a weird bend in them and I couldnt figure out how to get them to sit proper. The dodge ones worked much better for me. Now I just need to connect them with some hard line and get my wheel nuts and shes ready.

I also got around to making my 8 ball shifter.

Just drilled and tapped it (3/8 fine thread), put a little lok-tite on it (I buggered the threads on the shifter taking it off) and were good. I really like how it feels, it fits my hand perfectly. Should make for some good times slamming gears.

Well thats it for now, have a Merry Christmas everyone! See you after the holidays!

the best way is to upload the video to youtube and then post a link to the video on here.

Thanks man! I rigged the fuel pump to a switch with some jumper wires and alligator clips, thats why there's wires everywhere lol. I'll get that installed this week, clean and tidy the wiring up some to.
She hesitates when I rev her up, is that maybe just the carb needs cleaning? Also the tachs out, I forgot it's still set for a 6 cylinder. :P

hard to say. could just need a bit of tuning but it could also just need to be driven.
