Arrow Dodge W150 Front Wheels ?

I have a 1992 Dodge W150 318 MFI Automatic. I just bought this a few days ago, I am not new to dodge but have a question. This truck has the stock aluminum wheels. The front hub caps are missing. These wheels are the stock aluminum with holes all around, similar to what you would see on a 2wd truck. I have searched the web for pictures of other W150 trucks and they also have these wheels, but they have the hubs covered on the front. I think this is because the trucks I have seen have auto hubs. Mine has manual lockouts. Is this something that was converted? I have transfer case stick inside the cab and manual lockout hubs. Don’t see any place where the hubs would be auto locking from inside the cab. Are these the correct wheels for this truck? See the pics please

Thanks

i don't think those are a stock rim for these trucks. i think most of the rims dodge used where steel. if they where stock they must have been an option not a lot of people ordered. now if there where covers for it they would probably look like the others except they would have there ends cut off.

Default ok

I was kinda thinking that, I also think that yes maybe if I find some other hub caps the center ram might be able to be cut or knocked out to make fit.

Those wheels were original starting in 91 or 92 for 1/2 ton trucks and ramchargers but none were ever equipped from the factory with manual locking hubs.

I have the exact same truck

And yes, manual hubs would have been installed afterward.

I was going to exchange mine for manual ones but manual ones are pointless of these dodges due to the CAD system. Or so Ive been told

Commrad would love to see some pictures. I will have research cad system. This truck has a stick on the inside. So if the hubs were to be the auto I guess the front would be locked in all the time. But you would engage the transfer case to get it in 4wd

No matter if you have manual or auto hubs you will have either a lever (or on newer models) a push button or dial to put it in 4x4

If you look in the General discussion for for 1st gens i have a couple threads with pictures of my truck.

Id like to see your aswell

The CAD (central axle disconnect) is very simple to remove\disable if you want manual hubs. The CAD system can be troublesome and hard to find parts for now days in good shape.

If you already have the manual hubs you only need to pull the CAD actuator from the front axle, remove an e-clip, slide the fork to the locked position, reinstall the e-clip and slide the axle collar to lock the axles, and put the actuator back on.

I don’t know if there are instructions w\images on this site but if you go to www.ramchargercentral.com you can find detailed instructions there.
