What size is the steering box input?
Looking at replacing my steering shaft between the rag joint and the steering box. I have a lot of play at the steering box and steering shaft joint.
So I would like to purchase u-joints that allows me to utilize the splines. If I can't find that then I can use a round u-joint like in the borgeson setup.
Any way I think its 36 splined but not sure if its 1" or 3/4" in diameter.
Anyone happen to measure one?
Thanks

so far the cheapest place i have been able to find a borgeson shaft is xtremediesel.com. after you use a coupon code for 10% off it would cost you $169 plus shipping
the coupon code is DIESEL10

Thanks for the coupon info.
I keep coming back to the borgeson product. It appears to be well built and a fairly easy install.
It looks like one I would build would save me about $50 if I get good quality parts. $50 is a nice chunk of change for me but I am not counting labor time to build one on my own.

the 500 Series Box for your dodge or chevy Fullsize truck is truly the best of its kind. A direct replacement for the factory power steering box or an easy way to upgrade from manual steering to power steering. The 14 to 1 ratio adds a new dimension of handling to your car, smooth operation and excellent road feedback. Also, works with factory power steering pitman arm and 3/4-30 rag joint.
