okay, so 85 people and no responses.... How about this? what rims (diameter/width/backspace) and tires are you running on your First Gen Ram? And what is their position relative to the fender edge? Pictures would be incredibly helpful. Thank You
I don't think adding another thread is going to help you nearly as much as it is going to cause confusion. I believe the problem is that most of us with stock height 2wd trucks are also running stock (or similarly generic) rims.
i agree. as far as i can tell i have stock rims with stock tire sizes on all of my trucks. i don't know what any of the specs on the rims are other than the rims on my 81 being made out of magnesium.
i also thought i should point out that most of those 85 views non register viewers and google search engines
I am running the alluminum wheels that came on ford trucks in the early ninties on mine...the bolt pattern is the same, with a little massaging to the centre hub they fit my 85 just fine. I'd post a pic but for some reason this site refuses to let me upload any
I have 4 16" dodge ram rims. Chrome plate factory rims for 1996 to 2003 but will probably fit more years. Looking to get 75 obo. I am running a 285/75/16 under my truck and it doesn't rub at all.
4990 ... thank you for the picture. That is what i needed to know and see. 8" wide with 4.75 bs. figured that that would work, but i'm not interested in trial and error ... it gets expensive.
You still have to consider though that with a d250, you will most likely have bigger brakes. I don't imagine I could fit a 15 inch wheel without serious massaging and lots of spacing.

Your welcome. Pics always help.
Keep an eye out on e-Bay. They have some good deals on wheels and some offer free shipping.
