power ram mods?
I just picked up a 1990 dodge w250 with efi 360 in it and im tooking for more hp and torque? What are my options ? So far i have done headers and flowmasters. Another question how would it cost or would it be worth doing a cummin swap on this truck?
What size tires are on it and what gear ratio does it have?
If you\previous owner has installed larger tires you might just want to think about better gearing. That will wake your truck up
As far as the diesel swap; if the truck is in great shape and you can find a donor to swap the parts that is always a great swap and not difficult if you have the complete donor.

With the 90 like my 89 there are very few upgrades without getting into the replacement of the throttle body and the electronic engine control systems. A diesel swap is not an easy or cheap swap. If you want a diesel, my suggestion is to buy a factory diesel equipped truck.

33's with, I'm assuming, 4.56 (they had 3.55's and 4.56 no 4.55) is a good ratio except for highway driving.
As Seal pointed out there really isn't any "bolt-on" performance mod's that will work with the factory fuel injection. Just bolting on a 4bbl intake and carb (plus all the related wiring) is no real improvement.
For more performance you would need to either rebuild your engine with the performance related mod's or do the diesel swap.
I've done 3 1st gen (72-93) diesel swaps and they were easier and cheaper than the 2 big block swap I've done as I had the diesel donor trucks

I'm just surprised that a 360 doesn't seem to fit the bill. Is it possible that it just needs to be refreshed. These motors were set up for trucks with torque for towing and the EFI for dependability. On the D250 models I don't think that horsepower was as much of a consideration as was torque. Additionally, the W250 is almost 250lbs heavier than a W150 and more than 500lbs heavier than a 4x2. If indeed the gear ratio is 4.56 then that would seem right for the 33's but if however you were mistaken and they are 3.55 then gearing would vastly improve your feeling of horsepower. Lots of guys are looking for 360 swaps for their V6 or 318's. If you are set on the Cummins swap, you may be able to offset the cost by selling your drivetrain which is pretty desireable in itself esp. since it is in running condition.
Ok can any of you guys point me in the right direction i really like the cummins swap idea my day has a 1997 cummins 3500 and its beast on torque is there a forum that has step by step on what needs to be donw
