Yeah, apparently a mod edited the word "damn" out of a guy's post.

Whew!

Yeah, that would be great if you get a moment. Im sure the basic sizing is the same no matter which options the truck came with. Console or split shouldnt matter too much. Since they are so plentiful in salvage yards and are a pretty comfortable seat, if the dimensions work out, it might be a good swap option for us 1st genners. Thanks!

lol at their mods.

And if I cant find anything on here Ill check out other sites too to get some ideas. Seems like there is alot of support for the these cummins trucks, maybe more so then the gassers.

ok, it's supposed to warm up here in a few days (it's in the minus 20s celcius here now) I will take some measurements from the ford and the dodge and post them when it warms up a bit

Ya I am amazed at all the info on that diesel site. I never woulda found out about that place if it wasnt for the link here and basically except for specific engine related stuff, all the info can be transfered straight into my 85 gasser!

I'm just laughing that they have a full-fledged topic on the RWAL. Yikes!

What about building a console for the existing seat? I like my big comfy couch of a seat, but I wouldn't mind a console sometimes. The problem with doing that, though, is it would either have to be stationary, or you'd have to modify the seat back or bottom to get it to stow.

Ya I have a plastic console that has 2 cup holders and a space for random stuff, my problem with it is i cant put papers in it, and everytime i have a 3rd passenger i have to take it out of the truck, that's why i would like a newer seat with the fold down console
