Default Steering wheel upside down

So my steering wheel is upside down. This happened after I did my axle swap. Took it to another shop today and they dont have any idea what to do other than taking the steering wheel off and adjusting it which they cant do and Im thinking it would be something else. It was fine before the swap. I was wondering if anybody else has the the d44 to d60 swap and encountered the same problem? Is there something different about the linkage that make the steering wheel off-center?

Does the truck still drive/steer fine? If so Id just flip the steering wheel around. When I got my 88 RC the steering wheel was way off, I just pulled it and put it in the right spot.

Does it turn the same number of turns from side to side from center (wheels straight forward)?

When they installed the D60 did they use your D44 drag link or did you have one from the D60? If the drag link was either too long or short they had to rotate the pitman arm (steering wheel) a bit to get it connected.

@grimm, it steers fine.

And yes I think so. I seem to think it may turn to the left more but when I took it to the shop they lifted it and said i turned the same amount both way and the steering box adjust in centered.

Ask for the drag link, idk, but I can find out.

Since you say it feels different; I'm willing to bet your off 1/2 turn one way or the other. If you have or can find an adjustable drag-link you can adjust the steering wheel back to the correct orientation. Or, as others have mentioned you might be able to remove the steering wheel and flip it around...

One other thing...I just did the swap in my truck as well and last week did the cross-over steering on it and I can tell you the difference in the steering is amazing!

I used the kit from Off Road Design.

Ive wondered about the cross over steering. How is it better? Just tighter steering?

The truck doesn't wander, the steering is tight and responsive. Previously I had a lift block that lifted the steering link on the left king pin with an adjustable drag link installed until I did the cross over and I didn't like it.

Was looking at my drag link today and noticed its not quite level, I remember when I had my lift put on being told that the drag link needed to be level to the ground and thats what the lift block is for. It isnt a really steep angle but its not as level as it once was. Think that could be why?
