1990 D150 lowering kit?

yeah I would just do an axle flip on the rear and a 2 in drop spindle on the front that would make it sit relatively low and would still have that fairly smooth factory ride that these trucks have.

I haven't looked at the drop spindles yet but thanks for the idea, might save some money!

how much lower will my truck set in the front when i replace the slant six with a 440? also wanting to find a good aftermarket lowering kit to purchase,that works. any ideals or websites

slant 6 weights 475 lbs and the 440 weights 670lbs. From what I found on spring rates I think it will lower the front about 1/4". Others can chime in if they actually done the same swap and measured before and after.
