Well I am going to be dropping a mildly built 440 into my 92.. Then again im not in a rush and will be spending more money then what you want to.... I would start searching my local area and craigslist for a modern style 360 or 318... Get a wrecked truck and swap EVERYTHING over... Recoup some money by scraping the truck and put some work into that motor... But if this truck is a daily driver this is not an option..

 

well dont want get rid of it cause the truck was my grandfathers before he died left it to me so has value to me

 

i think you should just leave it as is. don't let the other guys get you going. they may leave in there dust off the line but you will pass them when there high performance engine breaks down.

 

True i might just clean it up make it look nice throw new tail pipe on it paint the engine
