On a different note about my intake, anyone know any place online for swapping stuff like this. I have an ad on CL, just didn't know if you guys might know somewhere else I could look. This is the last piece of the puzzle, and then I'll have all the parts for my rebuild.

2.5" pipes would be ok from the headers to the mufflers but, after the muffler you should go to 2.25" pipes. If you are not going to run a muffler you should run 2.25" pipes all the way. My big blocks I run 3" pipes all the way or will step down to 2.5" after the mufflers. My 360 motors I run 2.5" pipes all the way or 3" from the headers to mufflers and then 2.5" after the mufflers. Exhaust size all depends on what the motor is built for and what kind of muffler you are going to use, if any.

Im still looking for a trade on my intake but....

If push comes to shove and I cant find a trade in time, can anyone tell me the differences between an Edelbrock performer and the Weiand Action Plus? I've heard really good things about the Weiand, but I have never used one.

Just wanted to get some opinions on the two, and maybe if there are distinct differences in performance.

I like Weiand better myself. Weiand is made by Holley, if you did not know. The Weiand Action Plus is a dual plane high rise intake where an Edelbrock Performer is just a dual plane not a high rise. The Weiand A.P. is more like the Edel. Perf. RPM.
You might lose a little bit of bottom end power but, you will make up for it in the midrange and upper RPMs. You probably would not evern be able to tell the differance.
I think it will work real good with the cam you are going to use and you will be happy with it.

I didnt realize it was high rise, but thats good to know. What I've heard is that Weiand cast just seem to be better, plus its cheaper (which is always a bonus for me).

Does anyone have any pictures of their throttle linkage setup with the auto trans kick down? I think mine may have been missing a few things, but it seemed to function OK. Preferably from one similar to what it would have been around '74. I just want to make sure when I go back to hooking this thing up I do it right.

Erm, the carb linkage or what?

I can shoot a picture of the carb/trans linkage on my 76 tomorrow if you want me to?

IDK if it will be what you need though.

That's exactly what I need, that would be really helpful if you could. Thanks.
